If you use one of our online quote calculators or contact forms, we collect your name, email address, phone number, home address and postcode, along with details of the system you're enquiring about (e.g. panel count, charger model, any extras selected) and anything you write in a message field. We use this to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange a free remote survey, and deliver any work you go ahead with. This is stored securely in our own customer database and is not sold or used for anything beyond serving you as a customer.
If you type in an address to see your roof, that address is sent to Google Maps to locate and display it. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle that request. We don't separately store the address you type into the map tool unless you go on to submit a quote request.
We keep a simple record of which pages are visited, roughly when, and which country the visit came from — using our hosting provider's built-in location detection, not a third-party tracking service. We do not store IP addresses, and this data isn't linked to you personally. This site does not use cookies or any tracking scripts, so there's nothing to consent to on that front.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and respond to enquiries, each of whom only processes data on our instructions:
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
If you enquire but don't go ahead with an install, we keep your details for up to 12 months in case you'd like to pick things back up, then remove them. If you become a customer, we keep your information for the duration of any warranty period plus a further period as required for our accounting and legal obligations (typically up to 7 years). Anonymous page-visit records are kept for up to 24 months.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we're using it. To exercise any of these, email hello@zenovaenergy.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
